The internet has become the most important marketing tool for photographers and other visual artists. This workshop explains the keys to designing and building a powerful web site that displays your work effectively and attracts clients.
- An overview of the process of creating a web site
- Build it from scratch or use a templated design
- Designing the architecture, layout, navigation, and flow of the site
- Technical aspects of preparing your photos for the web
- How different web browsers alter the display of your photos and web site.
- How to effectively market your web site
- Choosing the most effective keywords and search term(s)
- Writing good Meta-Tags
- Search engine placement
- Paid web advertising
- Use of analytical tools to enhance the reach of your site

Photographers (amateur to pro level) who are ready to create an online portfolio to market their services or sell images online. (Web programming skills are NOT necessary for this course.) |

Experience: Basic understanding of internet surfing and search engine usage

Schedule: Saturday: 10:00AM - 5:30PM (45 minute break for lunch)
